Ex-Con Arrested In Death Of Teen Found Behind Maryland Funeral Home: Police

An 18-year-old man previously convicted in a stabbing has been charged in the killing of a 19-year-old victim, whose body was found behind a funeral home in Maryland last month, authorities said

Jaden Crowner is believed to have shot Devin Scott Freeman, who was found with gunshot wounds in his body behind the Gonce Funeral home at 4001 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Sunday Feb. 27, Anne Arundel County Police said.

The Chief Medical Examiner's Office ruled Freeman's death as a homicide on Tuesday, March 1.

In 2018, when Crowner was 14, was convicted of stabbing Justin Christopher Eckhardt, 33, of Glen Burnie, Fox Baltimore reports. Crowner was supposed to be tried as an adult until his went back to the juvenile court system, the outlet reports.
